I am lost in a giant hotel in a forign country. I want to say I am either in Germany or France. The people all seem to speak English all the same. I have a cell phone that is quickly losing power, and I am trying really hard to dial the number of a friend so we can find each other, but I can't find the send button. In the mean time I am walking through the massive hallways looking for my friends.
A young girl approaches me and asks me if I would like to be a participant in something. At first I am too frustrated to agree, but then she motions towards a table and I think I hear something about being paid for whatever this gig was. I am interested now, because I have somehow managed to lose all of my money, too.
I go to the table and there are these large plastic cut outs of a peach and what I though was a plum with faces on them. The job was to wear the plastic costumes for ten minutes and then I would be paid $200. I agreed and then stood around waiting to be told when and exactly where, but they were busy. I also ask if I can be the plum, because one person already asked to be the peach. She corrected me and said it wasn't a plum but an eggplant. Whatever, I thought, $200 is a lot of money for staning in a eggplant face for ten minutes. I turn my attention back to the cell phone, and see my time to call is fast running out and I still can't find the send button. I wonder how I managed to make any calls on the phone at all. Where the heck was the send option.
When the phone finally died I turn my attention back the costumes and ask again, or try to ask, where I am doing this, and WHEN I am supposed to. No one answered me, they just continued to ignore me.

One of those hotel dreams again, but this one was different. In this dream I am hanging out with my usual friends and I'd been looking for them as it was time to pack up and leave, however it seems like the entire floor we were on had been closed off to everyone, and if you had any stuff there, you were out of luck. Management was not letting you back in to get their things. The whole place was jam packed with guests all moving around in the hall ways looking for their friends or family members.
During some part of the dream I enter a very large room, like a gym. I see something moving up around above me. I see it's a bat. It's flying in huge circles around the gym, and I think about the days I used to work at the mall when bats would invariably get trapped in the mall and how they would fly back and forth and back and forth for a long time. I guessed they were looking for a way out. I feel sorry for the bat. I try to follow it where it goes and then it begins to decend in ever narrower spirals and I hold out my hand (back side up) and the bat lands right on the back of my hand, which I think it pretty neat for a few seconds until I realize it might bite me, and then there is that whole rabies thing. I panic and try to put it down on the ground ( I still try to be gentle so as not to hurt it) but it immediately chomps down on my index finger and no matter what I do I can't get it off. It's almost like it's glued to me, and it hurts a lot.
So I am running around like an idiot trying to shake a bat off my finger. I run into some people, but they don't offer any useful advice.
Additional Comments:
This is the second time recently that a bat is featured in my dreams. I used to dream about them ALL THE TIME, and they went away. I wonder if they're going to show up a whole lot again. I can't say for sure if the bat was a postive or negative symbol. I think in MOST instances the bat was an antagonistic character, but in a way I also really liked duking it out with this this animal, so in that was it's kind of a positive symbol, too, I can't make up my mind.

I remember being outside of a hotel, in the parking lot. There are a lot of people here. The shore
of an ocean touches here, but it's pretty shallow for a long long way. I see there are some people,
I assume they're poor, fishing out of that water. I am pretty curious to see what they have caught
so I approach. I don't see anything right away, as I have been distracted by some sea shells. They
look like short squat upside down cones. I see two of them, one smaller than the other. I pick up
the bigger one, and almost immidediately some weird sounding popping sounds come from it. I look at
the underside of the shell and see what appears to be legs of a crab inside the shell. The legs are
moving, and I see that it's the animal inside making the popping sound. I assume to frighten off
predation. I am not afraid of it, but I don't want the shell if it has anything alive in it, so I
drop it. I am also just a tad disgusted.
I move around and find that there is a ditch where the sea water had filled it to the top. the water
is pretty deep here, and it's full of creatures. A man dressed in what was obviously second hand
and mis-matched clothes hauls out some sort of creature from the ditch. It looks like an enormous
armor-platted caterpilla. It has a wide flattish head, like a tv tray. The man hits the worm with
the hammer to break its head. The man sees me watching him, and explains that this creature is
called a "pillow fish" or something, thought it's clearly not a fish of any sort. Apparently these
people ate these things. I could see, on account of that it was pretty big, that after you broke the
animal out of its armor it would be a lot of boneless mean there, but the creature was so revolting,
I was amazed it passed for food. I guessed it must be pretty tastey dispite its disgusting and
downright hellish appearance. I was not about to sample anything anyway, even if the repulise pillow
fish was edible, the water was rank and filthy, almost like a oil and grass soup or something.
Additional Comments:
The theme of polluted water is a recurring theme in my dreams. The weird nasty creature might be a
variation on the corruption theme. During the dream I couldn't feel sorry for the poor people for
some reason. Their eatting those disgusting worms just made me feel like they were asking for it.
