I am at a convention hall. I am in one room with only a few other people I don't know, but they are
all here to join in on a peculiar club of monster hunters. Apparently in this world (in the dream)
there are real monsters, and we wanted to organize a group to help seek and destroy them. I was
looking down at their charter, and thinking about joining. On the large wall was a a huge poster of
the collection of conventions in another part of the place. That other place was actually where
several organizations were using one large room to attact many different people for their many
diffrent causes. The monster hunter's organization wanted to have their own seculded room for a good
reason, because this was serious business, while the other collection of causes was more for hobbies
and not as important functions. A man who seemed to have autority and possibly owned the building
had come into our room and demanded we move our convention and find a table among all the throngs of
people in the hobby collection of conventions, or whatever you want to call it. The leader from the
monster hunters argued about this, trying to tell him why we didn't want to do that, and it had to
do with the fact we only wanted serious people, not anyone who just happened upon us by chance. It
made a difference to him if people came by mistakenly, and joined just because it "sounded
interesting" rather than people who came here with that porpose in mind. I felt like this was a very
good reason. I am not really involved in the argument, and don't feel like I should butt in, so I
allowed them to argue among themselves. Turns out the monster hunters would refuse to move, so the
man gave up. Suddenly these very very tall men come into the room with posters raised over their
heads, and for some reason they're carrying large pairs of scissors cut out from cardboard. I
couldn't read their signs as they were up too high, but I think they were fighting for equal rights
for giants or something. I thought they weren't serious.

The only part of this dream I remember was being in some high place, like on a balcony or something,
and there were these HUGE monsters running around. They were very fast, like race cars, and they
were as big as trees, looked sort of like gorillas. I was with some other people, not many, and one guy
tells me that if I look the monsters right in the eye, some of them will be too scared to mess around
with you, though he put emphasis on the word "some". He was right, though, as terrified as I was of
the huge gorillas, if I looked right into their eyes they balked, screamed and turned to run away
quickly. I noticed they had startling sea-blue eyes with no pupils. I certainly felt like hiding from them
rather than looking at them, but then one of the gorilla like monsters was not worried about me looking
into its eyes, and looked back. I forget what happened.

Beats me.

At some point I wanted to take off my black sneakers, because they felt so uncomfortable. I am
outside walking around, and I don't really know where I am or where I am going. I was trying to get
somewhere though. After taking off my shoes and socks I just adondon them on a side walk. I worry
breifly how long I would find walking around bare-footed would be comfortable before I would wish I
had my shoes again, but I left the shoes anyway, almost glad to be rid of them for some reason. I
immediately feel more comfortable. I run into some minor troubles; can't rememeber what they were
anymore. Then the real trouble begins. I don't know why I hadn't noticed before but everything
seemed tremendously bigger than it's supposed to be. I notice that the men walking past me are at
least twice as tall as anyone has the right to be, but they looked proportionately normal. I think I as
walking around a construction site. The huge men would walk past me and say something in jest, but it
was always something threatening, like hitting me with a crow bar, or some other threat of violence. I
avoided them, and also found I was dodging construction vehicles. It seemed like the wheels of a
dump truck were towering over me. I ran around in a panic in the torn up earth. The huge men
sometimes walking past thinking my terror was rather funny. I can't remember anything else.
Additional Comments:
I have often had dreams of losing my shoes accidentally, and trying to get them back. This is the first
time I remember a dream where I wanted to get rid of them.
