This was the earlier dreams from last night. It's pretty confusing and I forget a lot of the details. My shoddy notes don't help much, either. It takes place outside, and this is some other world. Where ever I was there were the giants that moved around these far and wide fields which grew a very curious sort of thing. They looked, at first glace, like stalks of wheat, but instead of wheat kernels this grass grew dimaonds. The strange looking giants were mostly benevolent creatures that harvested the dimaonds, presumeably to eat them, but I had found some means of robbing them of their diamond grasses. I forget how I manage it, but I sneak on to the feild a huge mobile pallet, and begin chopping the diamond grass and heaping it on there. I had one other person there also heaping the gass on the other side of the pallet, and we had one other person, out of sight, acting as a look out. The gaints would definitely get pissed off if they found out we were stealing their food. We didn't want that, as they were so big they could have picked us up and crushed us in their knobby huge hands.

I forget what the giants looked like. They were sort of human like, but had tan skins, and longish faces, like an anubis baboon. We would have considered them very ugly.

We were nearly done heaping the pallet with what wold have been possibly tens of millions of dollars worth of cut diamonds when one of the monsters came by. The creature didn't stop to ask us what we were doing, in this case it paid off to be obvious, since no one suspects you if you're doing it out in the open that you're doing anything you're not supposed to be doing. However, the giant did stop there long enough and conversed with us for a while. It was a shame, but because of this we would not be able to carry away out pallet anymore, not that the giants were aware of our presence. Instead we got away with only one measley stalk which yeilded about 50 to 60 quarter-inch diameter diamonds. Not a bad haul, but way less than hoped for.

The last thing I remember was removing the diamonds from the stalk. It wasn't unlike shucking corn. There was this wrapping that was really a lot like card stock and had to be opened, and then you ran your pinched fingers down the stock and the diamonds fell away in a sparkling pile on a table. I remember cursing under my breath about losing so many dimaonds to those stupid ugly giants.

It never occoured to me that their eatting diamonds in the first place was mightly weird.

Additional Comments:

My notes also mention a room with snow in it, and furniture. Something about my grandmother (who is dead). The snowy room was also heated, so it was both hot and cold at the same time.  The recurring theme in the dream is the presence of diamonds. I would say about 20 years ago I dreamt of gem stones all the time, but then I rarely, but more recently they are back in my dreams all the time, again. This seems to be going on a lot, I've noticed, though I forget what the other old themes have come back, I wonder if it suggest some kind of cycle, or a return to what matters most. It's hard to tell. 20 years ago I was 18, when I first became interested in dreams. I no longer have a lot of those notes, but I do remember them very well. I often entered my dreams in disguise. I literally wore a costume with a wolf mask that I ended up making in waking life. It was an experiment to realize my dreams in some tangible way. I still have the wolf mask. It still fits great, and it doesn't even make me sneeze half to death to anymore like it originally did. Maybe it's time to take out the mask again for pre-dream work. Last night, before going to sleep I made up a sort of prayer for a true dream about several things. I did have a LOT of dreams, too. The later ones were very violent.

In this dream I seem to be a detective invesigating a crime. At first I wasn't sure what the crime was, but something I discovered made me realize that I was dealing with a cannibal. I remember talking to a few lanky kids who complained about being really hungry, and something about their school having been closed down. I think I recall looking over at the now dilapitated school falling apart in the neighborhood. These kids were suffering, but I couldn't do anything about it, and I knew one of the kids was missing, as they had been eatten by the cannibal. This was all pretty horrific stuff, but I felt like I was getting to the bottom of it all. The cannibal was pretty sloppy, and was leaving a trail of clues.

I was walking down another street when I find something to brings me to the shocking realization that the cannibal I was tracking was my partner. I forget what it was that I discovered. It was something I find in the road where there are some scraggly trees. A puddle of water was surrounding the median here, and there were peices of flesh bobbing around in the water. I don't actually recognize the stuff as human flesh until I get a little closer and pick it up. I drop it in disgust and horror, there is more of it here and there. I nearly throw up. Apprarently my partner realizes that I have made the connection back to him, and he shots at me. He hits my right elbow, and I go down holding my elbow trying to stop the blood and the pain. I forget what happens after that.

    Cleaning Up the Abondoned Toys

I had this dream more than a week ago, acutally. I remember that I was moving into a new house. It has a large yard, and even had two small fully functional mini-houses that were part of the property. I was cleaning up the grassy area around one of the small guest houses. They were very many small plastic and soft rubber toys of male characters. At first I thought it was sory of funny that the characters were all naked with their hands and feet missing. Some toys were half burried in the grass or dirt and I had a basket that was filling up fast. Eventually I began to think it was actually pretty creepy, because every single toy was like that. Naked and mutilated. I even felt sorry for the toys. I pick up one which was supposed to represent an cartoony adult male with a big plastic grin, and yellow hair. For that particular toy the clothes had been painted on, but all the paint had either faded or been scraped off on porpose making the character the same pink flesh color all over where his clothes would be. Some one was helping me gather all of the toys. I don't know if they noticed the creepy theme. Some of the toys, that didn't depict human characters, seemed to be intact. There was one weird looking toy that looked like an eggplant with legs and feet. I think there was one human male-shaped action figure that was clothed and whole, altough caked with dirt, but it might have been over-looked for the usual torture the other toys went through, or maybe it was too challenging to remove the hands and feet. This toy had a plastic base attached to the feet, and it was one solid peice, and non-articulate toy figure. That's all I remember from the dream.
