The Elephant God

I was by a lake, the ground was white stone, and the lake filled a part of it like a huge cup, in some place the white stone stuck out above the surface of the lake. I was with some other people, they were a lot taller than me. I remember looking across the lake and seeing the large outcropping of stone on the other side. It looked like something, it was hard to tell. It had definitely been carved by human hands. I look at it and tell someone else to look, and doesn't it look like a face, and then I thought it looked like understated cows, and lastly I finally see wha it is supposed to be, and it's a carving of a huge elephant head. I paddle a little boat across the water to get a closer look, someone else follows behind me in another similar boat. I reach the shore of the elephant figrue first and see a metal plate hammered into the stone and it says Gilgamesh. I recognize the name, and guess this was supposed to be a representation of the character. I find this little panel behind the plate, and there are some letters under little keys, and above the keys were tubes that looked like something you're meant to blow into, like on a trumpet. The man who had followed me was about to try something by making some notes on a flute he had. I told him to stop. We guess this thing panel is activated using sounds, but I try to figure out what the symbols, keys and tubes are for, and I feel like I almost solve the riddle, bit I just can't quite make it out. I found the elephant sculpture very impressive, but I was confused by the obvious age of the figure, as it seemed to make the very modern and high tech key pad a contradiction.Additional Comments:
I don't know why I would dream of Gilgamesh, I haven't seen any references to the character in ages, and he holds no significance to me.
