I'm in this hotel like building although I think I lived there. Pretty sure this was back in San Diego. I run into my friend Damien and we hang out for a bit at his place. We were discussing what movie to watch and I asked him if he'd seen The Bucket List. We talk some and then he comes on to me. We talk a little more and then I finally leave and go back to my room.
I want to shower and I realize they have communal bathrooms. It seems very familiar as if i've been here before. I go next door to the bathroom and I walk in. It looks like an apartment. I go into the kitchen area and i see all these birds in cages. Easily 50-60 birds. Mostly small parrots and parakeets. I am wondering why they would be in here, then I see some cats. I realize this isn't the bathroom but it's someone elses apartment so I leave.
I am now out in an area of the hotel on the 2nd floor. I decide to ask around to find out where the bathroom is. There must be some "convention in town" because there are people with nametags. This lady walks up to me and asks me some questions and then I ask her if she knows where the bathroom is. She doesn't seem to but brings me over near someone else. I then realize the company that is having this convention is the company I used to work for AAAE. I look around to see if i recognize anyone i used to work with. I see this one guy Craig and I say hi. He doesn't remember me, which i find very odd. I remind him who I am and the work I did while at AAAE, and he's clueless. This really throws me for a loop.
Finally I leave and walk down to the lobby. I realize not only do I still need to find a bathroom so I can shower but that I left my "key" in my room and I'm locked out. I run into a janitor and ask him about the bathroom and he tells me (in some other language) that it's on the first floor, not the 2nd. Then I go to the front desk and ask for a key. I show him my id and then I wake up.

This was interesting. It was my intent, upon waking up, to go back to sleep and have a lucid dream. I fell into a sleep state but didn't completely lose consciousness. I started hearing voices in the other room, people talking. I was pretty sure this was not actually going on. Suddenly the "chatter" got louder, and it sounded like there were hundreds of people talking in the back ground, I couldn't make out a thing. I then felt myself "roll" and it felt as if I left my body. As soon as that happened the voices stopped. I was floating above what "looked" like my room, went through the wall and then everything was "black". This did appear to be more of a lucid dream though then an OBE. Suddenly a room came into view. I was back in my feet and I remembered in a video I watched that I should attempt to "stabilize" the dream in order to maintain lucidity. One tip the person gave was to start touching things around you and feeling your environment. Normally I'll just try to pass through things but this time I put my hand on the dresser and felt it. Things then become a bit clearer. I walked out of the bedroom door and there were 3 guys sitting in the living room. Still lucid I walked up to the first guy and said hi, he spoke back. I asked him his name but couldn't quite understand him. Finally after the 3rd time I realized he was saying "Alf". lol... Then I went to shake the other guy's hand and asked his name. He whispered in my ear and said "Jingle Jordan", I was like "what?" and then he just said Jordan. At this point the dream took a different direction, I lost lucidity for the most part, don't remember many details after this point.

I watched a video on lucidipedia.com and must say it did actually help in maintaining my lucidity even though it was short lived.

I wouldn't really say this was a dream. It was weird. I was going to sleep and I started getting some hypogonic imagery. Often times if I wake up and go back to sleep I'll get really incredible imagery before falling completely asleep. But this time it was upon going to sleep and usually I don't have it to this extent...
Anyway, I suddenly see my cat Marley. It was as if I was standing over him looking down. He looked up at me and then he stepped back and I saw drops of blood on the floor. This freaked me out and I opened my eyes. This took place on Friday night. Sunday morning Marley started getting ill and hasn't been able to keep food down since. I'll probably take him to the vet if he's not better by tomorrow. Either this was a precognitive event or quite a coincidence. The fact that I saw the image so clearly and yet had not fallen asleep yet really was unusual, for me at least.
