This dream started in 3rd person, following a fat, fatherly looking man with a Luigi moustache. He was walking down the hallway into my brother’s bedroom and began searching through decks of cards on top of his chest of drawers. I knew he had had his own trading cards and was looking to see if Nic was collecting any. All there was on the drawers was countless decks of Yu-Gi-Oh cards and he did not take to this well at all. He began to shout and wear about how Nic was a bad person. Nic walked into the room and saw fat father Luigi in the bedroom. He simply asked what he was doing. Suddenly, the dream shifted to 1st person, and I was the fat man. I was feeling pretty embarrassed so I shouted ‘Oooh I’m a very scary burglar, and I kill little boys!’ as if it was to myself, in the hope he would leave. He didn’t. Carefully, without letting him see my face I edged my way to the window and prepared to jump out. Looking out the window I realised I was dreaming. Quite pleased, I forgot all about Nic and returned my body to its current state and jumped through the fly screen, easily passing through the fly screen. I gracefully performed a low-gravity kick off the windowsill and in a display of my catlike dream reflexes landed on the fence with one foot, followed slowly by the other. I looked down at myself and saw I was wearing a black kimono (like on Bleach) now. I though this was pretty cool and kicked off the fence and tried to fly again.
I felt confident enough to try an aerodynamic flying style, with my body horizontal and hands by my side. But because I suck, I lost altitude quick and had to put my arms out to glide still. Because of awkward landing I didn’t have enough speed to take off into full flight and came to an abrupt stop across the spare block, skidding on my chest. I hopped up, took a deep breath and looked around at everything. Almost everything was a perfect replica of the real world and I felt perfectly grounded in the dream. This was by far the best quality lucid dream I had found myself in. I still span around a few times and rubbed my hands a bit, just in case. I moved down the street a bit, jumping about 20m at a time really quickly, feeling like the coolest dude in the whole world when everything flashed back inside, and I was walking down the hallway again.
This time, I still knew I was dreaming and ran inside the bedroom and was keen to jump outside again. Still wanting to try something tricky, I tired to pass through the wall, like a ghost but it was taking too long so I teleported out onto the road with my supreme powers of impatience. Everything looked exactly the same as before. I saw a friend’s dog a few meters ahead of me and tried to mow it down with a sneaky energy blast. I failed. Nothing happened but a tiny bit of heat haze oozed off my hands, still in the classic Dragon Ball-Z position. I tried a few more times, but to no avail. Fed up, I just ignored the dog and went to see Sam’s place inside my dream. I transported my self in the absolute coolest style imaginable up to the garage door, which was left slightly open. Sam’s dog and cat were in there and came over for a pat, so I patted them. It was at about this point I totally forgot I was dreaming and lost lucidity.
I saw a small kitten next to me which I had not seen before so I decided to pat it. It hissed at me and beared it’s fangs but hey, this was a dream, I just grinded my face across 4m of road on a pretty sharp angle and nothing happened (but still didn’t re-realise I was dreaming), this cat couldn’t hurt me at all. I put my hand near it and it bit hard into my hand and tore a small chunk out. It hurt a lot but felt strangely numb. I decided to go in for another pat and show this kitten that I was the dominant male, and how tough I was. It bid me again and took another kitten-mouth-sized chunk out of my hand and swallowed it. This one hurt a lot more and the kitten suddenly decided to start clawing my hand, which added even more pain. I flung the kitten off my hand ran down the driveway and heard my alarm seeping through into my dream. NOOO I shouted as I remembered this was my best quality lucid dream to date and had wasted it trying to prove to kittens I was tougher than them (and failed). The second beep of my alarm went off and I could feel my physical body as I started to wake up against my will.
