Centre of Science & Culture (formerly known as House of Soviet Science & Culture) was established in India in 1958 aimed at promoting and strengthening the friendship between the peoples of India and the Russian Federation. In 1964 they started working from their own premises at 24, Ferozeshah Road, New Delhi and in 1982 a new building was inaugurated in the premises. The Centre is carrying out various cultural activities in close cooperation with Indian social organisations, associations and clubs.
There are the Literary Club, Parichay Sahitya Parishad, Womens Association, Michail Botwinnik Chess Academy, Roerichs' Art Club, Eisenstein Film Club, Journalists Association, Youth Club and Delhi Association Academic Institutions. Moreover, the Centre gives forum for the presentation of Russian universities, banks and companies.
