Daytime in a vague indoor setting something like the cloakroom at a school or college where the lockers are, I am given a set of old motorcycle leathers by an unidentifiable person.

The protective clothing is an off-white creamy grey colour and has many pockets and zippers stitched into it a bit like these combat clothes which were all the fashion not so long back. The leather is worn, rugged and wrinkly and feels very pleasant to touch, I feel very happy to have been given such a great present. I decide to go out for a ride on a motorbike to try the new leathers out.

I ride out through some unfamiliar countryside and eventually come to a very rich lush green forest where I dismount and decide to go for a walk in amongst the trees.

I come to an area where I stand overlooking something of a natural sugar bowl, running around the rim of this verdant basin are lots of horse chestnut trees. I crouch down amongst the leaves and begin to pick up lots of fallen conkers, the brown nuts are still inside their protective green casings but the segmented shells or husks are so loose that the conkers just pop out easily, this brings me a lot of satisfaction and also makes me feel very, very lucid at the same time.

As I continue to gather up the conkers I hear and see a couple some way off in the distance, I can see that the man and lady are out on a romantic walk together.

Thoughts: I’m not really sure what this dream means as such but I’m sure that it has a meaning because there are quite a few recurring symbols in there. The lucidity near the end of the dream was much heightened particularly in a tactile way and may have been due to a book about lucid dreaming I had been reading just before going to bed.

Dream 2: Princess peach – Daytime and I find myself outdoors in an unfamiliar part suburban and part town like setting I am with my little sister and another unfamiliar dream girl who is perhaps in her early teens and has a posh regal air about her, this girl is dressed in a very stereotypically huge billowing peach coloured girls party dress. My sister is taking us all out to the cinema for the day it would seem to be something of a surprise. Not far along the street we come to some steps which lead up to the small entranceway of the old cinema. My sister ushers me and the peach girl up the steps to the ticket office, the little girl pays for her ticket and rushes on into where the cinema is. I hesitate seeing that my sister is still stood at the bottom of the steps urging me to hand my ticket over, I pause and try to ask if anyone would like me to buy some snacks before we go in but my sister just tells me to get on with it, I rummage through my pockets and eventually take out a ticket which looks like an airplane’s boarding pass. The lady in the booth accepts my ticket and I head inside to the cinema but not before I turn around to look at my sister, I realise that she isn’t actually coming into the cinema with us but has somehow lumbered me with the peach girl, I feel a little duped as I watch her waving as she turns around to head off and spend her time as she pleases without the extra baggage of me and the girl in the peach dress to weigh her down. I meet up with the girl in the peach coloured dress on the other side of the ticket office, she immediately latches onto me and clings on tightly to my arm, embarrassingly it would appear that the girl has something of a crush on me. Bizarrely the back of the cinema opens out onto a long thin strangely familiar garden which is full of all manner of clutter and bring-a-brack and many shed’s, huts and shacks full to overflowing with old machinery, garden tools and general jumble. It would appear that the cinema is an outdoor one that has been built by the owner of the garden from salvaged materials, the man would appear to be something of a hoarder and inventor. I sit down in a row of makeshift car seats, chairs and other benches with the girl who is still clinging onto me and get ready to watch the afternoon show. I feel in a very awkward situation like a baby sitter. It also feels quite strange to be outdoors in the sunlight preparing to watch a big cinema screen and although the garden is a real jumble the creator of the cinema has down a very good job of his creation, the mish-mash of materials used and the rows of different seats adds a quirky charm to this rather unique cinema.

Dream 3: Crassical music – Daytime and I find myself in what feels like the business district in London, the area and streets are unusually quiet though and on second reflection this location also seems to be the arts centre of the capital too. My wife accompanies me and we both go inside one of the very contemporary buildings where we see a group of people playing violins accompanied by a male opera singer, the group is playing for a small audience. I hear that the man sings with a terribly sombre and depressing tone which I find terribly sad and depressing. My wife on the other hand takes a more immediate dislike to the man’s singing, it may be that he sings well and it’s just this type of music that doesn’t appeal to either of us for different reasons. In a separate annex we see a husband and wife couple performing a piece of singing from a small operetta whilst stood next to a grand piano, I find the singing to be of extremely poor quality and definitely not up to the standards one would expect to find at such a function (everyone was dressed in evening attire and dinner suits) and in such a seemingly illustrious part of the city.
