This dream takes place in Missouri or some other midwestern state. I was with a boyfriend at some kind of trade show for pens and stuff. This boyfriend was kind of an amalgamation of the guys I've dated or who have been interested in me, although he seemed mostly to resemble my friend Faiyaz. I felt very good with this boyfriend and there were some pens that had jewels on them and when looking at one of the pens together I felt like he was proposing to me- at least the sparkle in the jewel made me feel that way.
Next, my younger sister was there with us, and we were going to this semi-indoor water park/movie theature/ amusement center. We drove a SUV there, and even though the boyfriend was driving, I found myself looking at my sister from the drivers seat, she was sitting in the passenger seat. She lifted up her t-shirt and showed her breasts to my boyfriend and I felt shocked. I said nothing. She laughed and then pulled her shirt back down. I'm not sure whose attention she was trying to get but from that point on everything that happened seemed to threaten the connection I had with the boyfriend.
We walked to the entrance to the complex and he paid for my ticket, although I had to provide for my sister (she had a childrens discount). Once inside, the boyfriend started talking to this black girl who was familiar to our social group in the dream but whom I do not know in real life. She was flirting with him (although, she flirted with everyone) and he was paying more attention to her than to me. I just wanted him to follow me and have a good time in the water park with him so it made me very frustrated.
I went on a slide expecting him to follow but a big crowd of teenagers pushed me deeper into the complex without him in tow. There were mostly teenagers around, very few adults. My sister seemed to keep up with me, even though we were separated from time to time but I didn't pay much attention to her, I was so worried about finding the boyfriend. I began to try and find my way back to the entrance where I last saw him.
My sister and I ended up near the "end" of the ride, although you could get back to the main building. I walked through some area that had the exit and entrance doors and an elevator blocked by old mattresses and it made my attempt to find the boyfriend even more frustrating. Some teenage girls wandering around in the same area also looked confused. I said something about how the management should open those doors.
Eventually I found my way back to the entrance lobby area and the boyfriend was noplace to be found. I saw his black girl friend and she told me he left to do some work thing. It was a little bit of a relief that he was doing something work related and not that he had run off with her, but it was devastating that he would just leave our date without saying anything to me.
I got out my cell phone, but when I tried to call him the numbers were all jumbled and when I finally was able to scroll to his entry it made me call the wrong number- and some english guy friend picked up who I certainly was not interested in talking to at the moment so I hung up on that guy.
The transition here is a little blurry, but somehow he showed up again, pulling up in the SUV. I asked a bit about the job thing but he just kind of brushed it off and said he had finished it.
I sat in the passenger seat and we started making out. He did not resemble Fayaz at this point but instead looked like a combination of some men I dated. It was such a relief to be alone with him and kissing. Suddenly he told me he needed some weird brand of cigarettes called "golden boy" or something that had to do with boys, that were kind of like cloves and would somehow enhance his making out experience, and he got out of the vehicle to get some at the concession stand. He told me to wait in the car he'd be right back but I decided to follow him just to make sure he wouldn't disappear again.
I watched as he bought the cigarettes, and as I waited I looked around at the people but when I looked back at the counter he was gone! I went back to the vehicle and he wasn't there either. He had run off again and there was a text message on my phone that said he had to go back to the office.
